Want your students to ACE the PSAT? Follow the program below for best practices and tools to make that happen!
Phase One: Diagnostic
First, students will take Diagnostics, no studying is required. These short tests are designed to measure your baseline knowledge and give you a general idea of your strengths and weaknesses so you know what to study. Make sure to complete all three diagnostic areas.
Phase Two: Study
Spend some time checking out the Readings, drills, and video playlists in our “Study” tab. Shmoop will guide you to the best topics for you to study based on your diagnostic results. Just follow the Shmoop “S” icon to get to the right topics
Be sure to read the answer explanations for all the questions on the drills, and if you’re watching a video that gives you a sample question, pause it so you can answer it on your own.
Phase Three: Practice
Take a Practice Exam. Make sure to take all three sections of the practice exam. When finished, check out your score report and Q&A breakdown for feedback and skills analysis. Shmoop will tell you where you made a mistake and how to fix it. We’ll also give you a link to get back to the study topic if you need it.
