Adding your students to groups allows you to view their pulse dimensions via our amazing teacher analytics interface!
Let's get started.
First, from the Shmoop homepage click "Explore Heartbeat." From your teacher analytics page, click on "groups" on the top banner. *The image below shows the groups page with a couple of example groups created.
Enter a name for your group, and click "Create New Group." You will be brought to your group details. You can add students to your groups by searching their name or email, adding them by email alone, or bulk-adding students by pasting all of their emails in the bulk add area. It is best if your students have already created/authenticated their Shmoop accounts before you add them to a Heartbeat group. *The image below shows the add students page.
Once you have added the students to your Heartbeat group via the aforementioned processes you are good to go and the students don't have to accept any sort of invitation. As your students begin interacting with Heartbeat you will begin to see the dimensions of their pulse populate your analytics page.
