Improving the world, one Shmooper at a time! Here we will learn how to use Shmoop's Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS) and Social-Emotional Learning resources to teach kids how to act as considerate, ethical, empathetic human beings.
Step One
First, let's talk about the two types of PBIS resources we offer and their specified use. You can choose one type or both to work with! It's up to you. To access them hover over the "Products" tab on the "My Home" page and select "PBIS".
- PBIS Courses: If you prefer to have students interface directly with Shmoop, these PBIS Online Courses are the place to be. Each Course includes readings, quizzes, and Teacher Notes with extra activity ideas.
- PBIS Teaching Guides: Looking for effective, engaging, and generally not-blah ways to bring PBIS to life in your classroom? Each Teacher Guide includes scripted lesson plans, original Shmoop handouts, discussion questions, and more.

Now that we know a bit more about each product lets take a look inside each.

- PBIS Teaching Guides: Inside each PBIS Teaching Guide you will find an "Overview" tab that includes the following sections: How to Use This Guide, Common Questions, and Teaching Strategies. Each guide is extremely straight forward and you will find everything you need in easy to navigate tabs.
