You can use the gradebook to track progress in all test preps, all courses, and our RTI for ELA and Math.
Gradebook opens the window into viewing all student progress for the Shmoop product added to your classroom. The gradebook views vary from product to product. However, if you know how to navigate the gradebook you will be able to find what you need for each product. Here we will cover the Product, View, and View by buttons as well as a few other tools to help you get the most out of the gradebook for all Shmoop products.
Product, View, and View by:
On the Gradebook tab of your classroom, you will find three filtering tools. Product allows you to toggle between multiple products in your classroom and view grades for that specific product. You can add up to four products in a classroom. You can add or remove products on the Manage tab of the classroom.
View allows you to see specific types of grades for each product. These views will vary from product to product but are clearly labeled and will easily point you in the right direction of what you want to view. The "View by" toggle gives you the option to view your student results individually or by averaging your class's results together.
Grade Assignments
All Shmoop products are self-graded with the exception of our courses. Don't stress! We will provide grading notes giving the teacher the answers to make grading a breeze. Choose the "Individual Scores" view from the "View" dropdown. Then you can click on the arrow next to "STATUS" to bring all "Needs Grading" activities to the top of the page. From here when you click the blue activity link to grade you will be directed to that student's activity to grade. Check out this video to see it in action.
When grading activities you can also jump between activities or students via the dropdown menus at the top of acitivity grading page.
Whew! We made it. Now you know the basics of how to put the gradebook to work for you!
